MICHAEL JACKSON has turned to the words of famous English author CHARLES DICKENS to describe his love/hate relationship with the entertainment industry. The superstar, 48, quoted DICkens' opening line from his novel A TALES OF TWO CITIES, at a "fan appreciation" dinner party in Tokyo, Japan, on Thursday night (08MAR07). Guests had paid 400,000 yen ($3,500/GBP1,795) to attend the dinner, which included a performance by Japanese Jackson impersonators and a photo session with the THRILLER singer himself. Jackson did not perform at the event, but spoke of his determination to lead a happy life following his child molestation trial two years ago (05). He said, "I've been in the entertainment industry since I was six years old. As Charles DICkens says, 'It's been the best of times, the worst of times.' But I would not change my career. "While some have made deliberate attempts to hurt me, I take it in stride because I have a loving family, a strong faith and wonderful friends and fans who have, and continue, to support me. "Japan is one of my favourite places to visit in the world. I want to thank all of you for making me the biggest-selling artist in Japan."

Kaj se je dogajalo na današnjem eventu (poročilo ene fanice, k je v Tokiu):
"Michael didn't perform. He came on stage when You Are Not Alone was on in the background and he was singing along (not that we could hear haha). He met all of the competiton winners, got photos with some of them, kissed one and then did a speech."
Ta ista fanica je tud razložila, zakja je meu Mike tak izraz na obrazu na tej sliki:
"It's cos the fans were going crazy and looked like they were gonna fall off this thing they were standing on! He backed up too, omg it was so cute to watch. He said that all the artwork he received was really good and he appreciates it all."

Pop star Michael Jackson's less wealthy fans got a chance to meet him at a "fan appreciation" event in Tokyo on Friday, a day after he posed for photos with those willing to pay 400,000 yen ($3,400) for the privilege.
Jackson was not expected to sing or dance at Friday's event, which cost a relatively modest 15,000 yen ($130) per head, but organizers said he would talk to all attendees. No cameras were to be allowed inside.
"I love his eyes, his nose and his dance," said 7-year-old Jun Sahs, waiting outside the Studio Coast venue.
The event was scheduled for March 9, because the date can be pronounced "san kyu," which sounds like "thank you" in Japanese, organizers said.
"I am simply happy that he's come to see us half-way around the globe and I will be able to breath the same air as he is," said Yoko Gomi, a 57-year-old housewife.
Since being acquitted of child molestation charges at a trial that ended in June 2005, Jackson has mostly kept a low profile, spending time in Bahrain and Ireland.
He last visited Japan, where he has a huge fan base, in May to accept a music award. Since arriving at the weekend, he has been mobbed by fans during a shopping trip and a visit to Disneyland.

ei mene pa neki mot...michaela spoštujm in si o njem mislm najboljš ampak mi gre pa že mau na živce da skoz reče da je njegov thriller najbl prodajan album pa da je začeu nastopat pri 4 letih in da ne bi spremenil svojga lajfa za nč...mislm sei je legenda loh se hval sam čis usakič isto...ne wem no...kaj si vi mislte?
