ja res je ja...če upoštevamo da je album samo predelana izdaja starega albuma in da neke bum pomocije ni blo in je tut najbrž ne bo je mj praktično povsod prvi hehe...

ja res je ja...če upoštevamo da je album samo predelana izdaja starega albuma in da neke bum pomocije ni blo in je tut najbrž ne bo je mj praktično povsod prvi hehe... |
bum promovije res ni blo, promocija pa je bilo zelo veliko, in sicer tiste malo prikrite... vsa ta slikanja, intervjuju... Vse to je mišljeno kot promocija, ne le za Thriller 25th, pač pa tudi za nov album, ki bo zagotovo izdan v roku enega leta...
Michael se ni nikoli slikal za "brezveze"...
Vse te obletnice, nastopi, so v preteklosti skoraj vedno bili mišljeni kot promocija...
Spomnimo se na 1999.... 2 nastopa, slikanje za revijo plus 2 odpovedana koncerta... Tole je blo mišljeno kot promocija za Vince, ki pa se je potem zavlekel in bil izdan šele 2001...

nism reku da ni blo promocije...sam hočm povedat da je bla ta bl tko tko...mislm ni spotov in tko naprej...to vse vpliva....mj za nov album zihr ne bo naredu promocije v stilu thriller 25 ampak še kei več...upam...

Razumem kaj misliš... Tale promocija niti ni slaba, glede albuma pa maš prav, verjetno po pravi bum... Razen če se bo kaj zapletlo, tako kot pri Invinciblu, kar pa upam da se ne bo:)

'Thriller' Blocked From The Pop Chart
When is the second highest selling album of the week nowhere to be found in the top 200?
There used to be a number of reasons but now it's down to one: When the disc has been classified as a catalog release.
The 25th anniversary edition of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" (Epic/Legacy) sold 166,000 copies in its first week of release, which would make it the second biggest seller of the week that ended Sunday. Despite it containing a DVD and five newly reworked versions of the songs, it is considered a catalog release by Billboard, which categorizes sales data collected by Nielsen SoundScan.
In much of the rest of the world it has been categorized as a new release and debuted at No. 1 in France, No. 2 in Germany, Australia, Holland, Norway and Switzerland, and No. 3 in the U.K. “Thriller,” which has sold 27 million copies, is No. 1 on Billboard’s catalog chart. Most catalog chart toppers sell between 15,000 and 20,000 copies per week.
Last year, Billboard eliminated its rule that barred from the top 200, releases available at a single retailer. That was in response to the Eagles selling more than 700,000 copies of "Long Road to Eden" at Wal-Mart outlets.
Billboard continues to make decisions on bonus packages that mystify many people in the industry. In many cases, a major star - Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, etc. - can release a second version of a hit album that includes new songs, new mixes and videos, but its sales are included with the initial release.
Other discs - and this often affects soundtracks - are almost always split between regular and deluxe editions, regardless of their time of release. There have been exceptions, though, and that seems to drive some execs bonkers. Just like the folks who want the world to know "Thriller 25" is the No. 2 seller in the country.
Thriller Fails To Qualify For Billboard Chart

Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' album will be absent from Billboard's Album Chart tomorrow because it is considered a "catalogue' album.
The 25th anniversary edition of 'Thriller' sold 166,000 units this week, according to Nielsen SoundScan, which would have placed it at number two behind Jack Johnson.
However, 'Thriller' has been designated to the Top Pop Catalog chart instead of the Billboard 200 because it is not considered a new release.
Geoff Mayfield, Billboard's Sr. Director of Charts, says there was much debate between Sony-BMG and Billboard over the listing but in the end Billboard would not change its policy for 'Thriller'.
"Sony-BMG stated a strong case and we did consider it," Geoff tells Undercover News. "I took to heart their comments and then I took it to retail. The response I got overwhelmingly is that it is a catalogue album and belongs on the catalogue chart".
"It is being worked in Sony through Legacy which is their catalogue division', he said. "The core of the album is a 25 year old recording. The addition of new material doesn't make it different".
Over the years, hundreds, if not thousands of albums have been reissued with additional material just like 'Thriller'. "U2's recent 'The Joshua Tree' reissue and Beck's 'Odelay' fall into the same category," he states. "In fact, Beck's album has new tracks just like 'Thriller' and it did not qualify."
Other albums such as The Who's 'Live At Leeds' and Wings 'Band On The Run' were reissued like 'Thriller' with extra tracks.
"I wasn't interested in what Sony-BMG thought," Geoff said. "We always rethink our rules. We did so in November. Sometimes there is a change, sometimes there is not. To change the rules for 'Thriller' would have signalled a change for all other albums moving forward."
So why is the reissue of 'Thriller' different to the reissue of 'Traveling Wilburys' which did qualify for the chart? "Wilburys was the entire Wilburys output in one package," he says. It was never done before. If 'Thriller' and 'Off The Wall' were combined into one package then that would qualify and would have been charted".

huh ja čudn... ne vem kaj nj si mislm 
če je blo res velikk albumov že izdanih na podobn oz. enak način kot thriller 25 pa niso šli na lestvico, thriller pa...
če s sploh prov razumela ceu text?
neki se pritožujejo da album ni "nov" in da nima kej delat na lestvici najbl prodajanih NOVIH albumov....

Nima veze to, billboard ima pac take kriterije in veljajo za vse enako. Po prodaji je se vedno 2. najbolj prodajan ter uvrsti se na Top Pop Catalog chart.
Edino upam, da se bodo novinarji pozanimal, preden bodo pisal o prodaji thrillerja25, zakaj ga ni na billboards top album chart...

men zanima zakaj se albuma pri nas v slo (big bang, bof, ...) nikjer ne da kupit. Jaz sem danes obredel vse stacune v lj in ga nikjer ni, imajo pa kupe starejsih mj albumov ....

V Mullerju na Copovi so ga v petek se imeli (dve izdaji, ena z zombiji, druga z original coverjem, ce se prov spomnim). Je pa res, da sem mogu vprasat prodajalca, da sem ga najdu....ker je bil na eni mizi, med novimi albumi.
Najbols da poklices v Mullerja, lahko tud bofa in vprasas, ce ga slucajno majo v skladiscu:D ce ne, ga pa narocis...to se sigurno da.
